Efecto colectivo is a collaborative effort to define personal identity by addressing facets of social identity that are consistently hidden from view. We will explore, analyze and define our own "identity" through a critical lens and bring forth our findings through photographs, stories, clips, music and other digital media.

“Alza Tu Voz,” a new artivism campaign by the Collier County Neighborhood Stories Project, showcases the strength and resistance of the immigrant community in southwest Florida. It is a call to action for local artists to use art, feeling and creativity to combat the dangerous Secure Communities and 287g programs plaguing our families and communities. The earnings of our poster sales will be used to create an emergency bond fund for individuals who have been detained and/or affected by police abuses, racial profiling, etc., in southwest Florida.
The womyn showcased in these posters are residents from Immokalee, Florida who have raised their voice and told their stories. You can read more about Maria Poblano’s story here.
The artist of these pieces is Efecto Colectivo’s undocuqueer, in-house artist, Rommy.
