Efecto colectivo is a collaborative effort to define personal identity by addressing facets of social identity that are consistently hidden from view. We will explore, analyze and define our own "identity" through a critical lens and bring forth our findings through photographs, stories, clips, music and other digital media.

Maria Poblano’s Story
With Maria’s consent, we were able to document her story. Because of her courage and strength, many others in similar situations have raised their voices and told us their stories. As part of her effort to continue empowering her community, Maria has joined the Collier County Neighborhood Stories Project (Proyecto: Coleccion de Voces) and is facilitating Know Your Rights Trainings in southwest Florida.
